From Austin Cornerstone Church Mens Ministry

Attendance

Members: Henry Miller, Jim May, John Butler, Roberto Trevino, Rudy Pedraza, Scott Sievers, Mike Dunavant, and Earl Samaroo.

Opening Scripture

(2 Cor. 3:1-6) Roberto Trevino

Meeting with Pastor

Pastor Rick pointed out our need to collaborate more with Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He and Roberto will meet with Mt Sinai Leadership to determine the best way to facilitate better communication between the churches. We will also try to participate with Mt Sinai during their quarterly men's breakfast.

Pastor also mentioned that we need to make sure we communicate and collaborate more closely with other ACC ministries before proceeding on any big projects that may effect them.

Lastly, Pastor asked us to consider taking responsibiliy for fixing the Side Walk Sunday van. The van was donated to ACC by Glad Tidings Church, and is currently at Gus's place. We need to work with Chris Penson on this project.

Ladies Lunch

John Butler presented the projected time table and list of helpers for the luncheon. For more details, see (upload John's text and set up link).

Speakers' Subcommittee

Roberto motioned to create a Speaker's Subcommittee to find speakers for the men's breakfasts. He asked for volunteers to work with Jim, and Rudy Pedraza and Henry Miller volunteered. The motion was approved.

Men's Ministry Fund

Roberto motioned to table this topic until April because Louis Martinez was absent. The motion carried.

Elections

Mike Dunavant and Earl Samaroo were nominated for Assistant Director. Earl declined, and Mike was elected by acclamation. He will assist Roberto on all Men's Ministry events and sub in when Roberto is unavailable.

Scott was nominated and approved unanimously to the position of Secretary-Treasurer. He will record and publish the minutes of the meetings, be responsible for any funds collected by the Men's Ministry, and communicate with members and other ACC ministries as directed by the director or, in the director's absence, the assistant director.

Email Survey

The survey will be handed out on the 2nd Sunday of April. Scott and Mike will be in charge of this.

Promise Keepers

Willie will look into getting together with Mt Sinai and he will look into obtaining a bus. PK2006 is in Dallas on Aug 11th & 12th.

Sunday Morning Coffee Service

Because of time, the committee decided to take up this issue at the April meeting.

Men’s Ministry Table & Display

A table will be set up in the foyer to display a list of all the upcoming activities the men’s ministry is working on. Starting this month, we will have the table manned to sign up men for the Measure of a Man Bible Study. As we get closer to the Ladies' Luncheon, the Promise Keepers' Conference, and other future activities, we will use the table for flyers, sign-ups, and Q&A regarding on-going projects. The Committee voted to man the table every Sunday from now on.

Photographer for MM activities

Scott, Mike, and Roberto agreed to bring their digital cameras to MM events. They will be in charge of taking and distributing the photos, and using them for the table display, Power Points, and other presentations involving the Men's Ministry.

Closing Prayer & Adjournment

After a closing prayer, the Committee adjourned to meet again on Sat., April 1, at 8:30 a.m., in the ACC Multi-Purpose Room.
